Important: Your completed books are still limited to one major storefront
Your Royalty Atlas publishing journey Step 11 — Distribution expansion
Private one-time distribution upgrade

Your Book Is Sitting On One Shelf. It Should Be Sitting On Five.

Turn every finished Royalty Atlas book into store-ready publishing packages for Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo and Barnes & Noble—without rewriting, manually reformatting or paying monthly distribution fees.

You already completed the expensive part: the book itself.

The manuscript is written. The cover is designed. The formatting is complete. The listing is prepared. Yet if that finished book is only available through Amazon, millions of readers on other major bookstores may never have the opportunity to discover it.

Important: Publish Beyond Amazon prepares store-ready files, specifications, metadata and upload guidance. You remain responsible for opening and maintaining your publisher accounts, reviewing the final files, selecting which titles are eligible for wide distribution and submitting them to each marketplace. Titles enrolled in exclusive programs such as KDP Select should only be distributed elsewhere after confirming their eligibility.
The hidden mistake most Amazon publishers never notice

Uploading a book to Amazon does not mean you have fully published it. It means you have placed it on one shelf inside a much larger bookstore.

Amazon may be an important marketplace, but it is not the only place where readers search for ebooks. Every finished title left on a single platform may be invisible to buyers who prefer other stores.

!

The danger is not that your book is unavailable. The danger is believing Amazon represents the entire available market.

A reader who buys from Apple Books may never search Amazon. A Kobo customer may already have an established library there. A Google Play reader may discover books through the device and ecosystem they use every day. If your title is absent, they cannot choose it.

Amazon-only publishing

One completed book depends on one primary storefront.

  • × Readers on other major stores may never see the title
  • × One marketplace controls nearly all discoverability
  • × Changes in one platform can affect the entire title
  • × Existing assets remain under-distributed
  • × Every new royalty opportunity requires another new book
Wider publishing

The same completed asset gains additional places to be discovered.

  • Reach readers who prefer Apple, Google, Kobo or B&N
  • Diversify where the book can be purchased
  • Reuse the manuscript, cover and metadata already created
  • Build several store listings from one intellectual property asset
  • Create more shelf space without writing another book

Readers do not all shop in the same place

The opportunity is not writing four more books. It is giving the same book four more doors into the market.

Publish Beyond Amazon prepares your finished title for each supported store so you can pursue additional distribution without rebuilding the publishing project from the beginning.

  • One manuscript adapted to each accepted store format
  • One cover rendered to each marketplace specification
  • One metadata package organized for direct upload
  • One dashboard showing where each book is live

The book has already been written. The cover has already been created. The question is whether that finished asset deserves more than one opportunity to be discovered.

Publish Beyond Amazon helps you use the work you have already completed more fully by preparing it for additional major publishing storefronts.

Stop treating Amazon as the final destination for every finished book.

The highest-leverage publishing move may not be another manuscript

The most profitable book you publish next may be the book you have already finished.

Creating a new title requires another idea, another manuscript, another cover, another formatting process and another listing. Redistributing a completed book begins with assets you already own.

The traditional approach says: “Create more books.” The smarter approach asks: “Have I fully used the books I already paid to create?”

1 One manuscript The core intellectual property is already complete.
1 One cover concept The visual direction already exists.
1 One listing foundation The promise, audience and metadata are already defined.
5 Storefront opportunities The same book can be offered through multiple stores.
0 Extra books required Distribution expands without writing another title first.
0 New manuscripts required
0 New book ideas required
0 Manual store formatting

Increase distribution without restarting production

You already absorbed the major creative cost. Now give the completed asset more opportunities to work.

Publish Beyond Amazon is designed around leverage. It takes the manuscript, cover and publishing information you already created and prepares store-specific packages from those finished assets.

  • Reuse the completed manuscript instead of writing from zero
  • Adapt the existing cover to each supported store specification
  • Organize the metadata and required documents automatically
  • Create a new distribution opportunity from an existing asset

The manuscript is already done

You are not paying for another writing cycle before pursuing another storefront opportunity.

  • Existing chapters reused
  • Existing editing preserved
  • Existing book structure maintained

The brand assets already exist

The cover, title, subtitle and author identity become the starting point for each store-ready package.

  • Cover rendered to store specifications
  • Brand consistency retained
  • No redesign from the beginning

The next growth lever is distribution

Instead of relying only on more production, you can increase the number of places where the existing catalog can be found.

  • More storefront listings
  • More discovery opportunities
  • Less dependence on one platform

Imagine looking at your existing catalog and realizing that every completed title may be one distribution decision away from four more stores.

No new manuscript is guaranteed to succeed, and no store can guarantee sales. But fully distributing the assets you already own may be a more efficient next move than immediately starting another unrelated book.

Stop asking your next new book to do all the growth. Let your finished books reach more storefronts first.

The core engine that removes the technical work

Imagine selecting one finished book… then receiving a separate upload-ready package for every supported bookstore.

No manually converting files. No searching for cover dimensions. No wondering whether Apple accepts the same format as Kobo. Publish Beyond Amazon builds each store package around the requirements of that marketplace.

Wide publishing feels difficult because every store asks for a slightly different version of the same assets.

One store wants a particular cover dimension. Another accepts EPUB and PDF. Another may require DOCX, metadata documents or an AI disclosure. Publish Beyond Amazon organizes those differences before you reach the upload page.

Before you make your final decision

Here are the honest answers to the questions that may be stopping you from publishing your books beyond Amazon.

Wide publishing should be a deliberate business decision. These answers clarify exactly what Publish Beyond Amazon does, what it does not do and how the workflow fits into your existing Royalty Atlas account.

01 Do I need to write new books to use this upgrade?
No. Publish Beyond Amazon is designed to work with books you have already finished. It reuses the completed manuscript, cover and publishing information to create store-ready packages for the supported marketplaces.
02 Does Royalty Atlas upload the books to the stores for me?
No. The engine prepares the files, package, specifications and upload checklist. You then submit the title through your own publisher account on Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo or Barnes & Noble Press.
03 Do I need separate publisher accounts for each store?
Yes. Direct publishing requires your own approved account with each marketplace you choose to use. The Store Hand-off Center provides the direct destination and clear submission guidance, but the account approval remains between you and the store.
04 Will I need to manually reformat every manuscript?
No manual rebuilding is intended. The Package Builder uses the completed Royalty Atlas project and prepares the supported manuscript output for the selected store, including EPUB, PDF or DOCX where applicable.
05 Will I have to resize every cover myself?
No. The package workflow renders the available cover at the specification configured for the selected store, so the cover package matches the intended marketplace output.
06 What happens if my book is not ready to distribute?
The Readiness Engine identifies the missing stage, such as writing, formatting, cover or listing completion, and provides a direct route to finish that stage before package creation.
07 Can I use books translated through Go Global?
Yes. Supported translated editions can continue into the package and tracking workflow so the original title and its language versions stay organized across stores.
08 Does this charge me monthly or take part of my royalties?
The current upgrade is a $97 one-time payment. Royalty Atlas does not take an additional distribution percentage from store royalties. Each marketplace still applies its own royalty, pricing, tax and payment terms.
09 Do I lose access to Amazon if I publish elsewhere?
No, wide distribution does not automatically remove an eligible title from Amazon. However, ebooks enrolled in an exclusive program such as KDP Select must comply with that program's exclusivity terms. You decide which eligible books to distribute widely.
10 Will publishing on more stores guarantee more sales?
No store or software can guarantee sales. Wider distribution increases the number of places where an eligible book can be discovered and purchased, but results still depend on the book, market, pricing, positioning, reviews and promotion.
11 What if I update my cover, price or book version later?
Package History allows you to keep prior records and rebuild the selected store package when the underlying project assets are updated.
12 Is this suitable for a beginner?
Yes. The workflow is designed to reduce technical confusion by showing readiness, preparing the files and providing store-by-store hand-off instructions. You should still review every file and store requirement before submission.
KDP
Select

Important clarification for KDP Select members.

Amazon KDP and KDP Select are not the same thing. A book can generally remain available on Amazon while also being published elsewhere, but the ebook edition of a title enrolled in KDP Select is subject to Amazon's exclusivity terms during its enrollment period.

Confirm the current status and eligibility of each title before distributing it outside Amazon. Publish Beyond Amazon gives you the tools and packages, but you control which books are submitted.

You already have the books. Now remove the technical barriers between them and four additional major stores.

Your final Publish Beyond Amazon decision

Six months from now, will your finished books still be sitting on one shelf— or will they be available across the stores your readers already use?

You have already completed the hardest part. The books exist. The manuscripts, covers and publishing assets have been created. The remaining decision is whether those assets will remain under-distributed.

The cost of declining is not only the $97 you keep today. It may be the shelf space your completed catalog never receives tomorrow.

Every month an eligible book remains limited to one storefront is another month when readers on Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo or Barnes & Noble cannot discover or purchase that edition from their preferred store.

From here, your finished catalog can follow one of two paths.

Path one

Keep the books where they are and handle wider distribution manually later.

  • × Research each store's current requirements yourself
  • × Convert manuscript formats and resize covers manually
  • × Build separate metadata and disclosure documents
  • × Track packages, languages and listings across separate tools
  • × Risk leaving completed titles on one primary shelf
Path two

Activate the wide-publishing engine and prepare each eligible book systematically.

  • Scan each project for distribution readiness
  • Generate store-ready packages from finished assets
  • Follow clear direct-upload instructions for every store
  • Track titles, versions, languages and live links
  • Keep control without a Royalty Atlas distribution percentage

Imagine opening your dashboard and seeing the same book available through five different storefront opportunities.

One completed title. One organized command center. Multiple packages, stores and language editions tracked without rebuilding the book from the beginning.
